IP Based CCTV

Mobotix is the future of CCTV, the higher the resolution, the more details are in an image. Using traditional (analog) technology, a live image has no more than 0.4 megapixels and a recorded image only has 0.1 megapixels (CIF). In comparison, a MOBOTIX camera with 3.1 megapixels records around 30 times more detail. As a result, larger image areas with up to 360° panorama are possible, thus reducing the number of cameras and therefore the costs. For example, four lanes of a service station can be recorded using one MOBOTIX camera instead of four conventional cameras.

Another of the major point of difference is the Mobotix camera carries out all the image processing onboard through the logic and software installed on the software, this has huge positive implications in relation to network bandwidth requirements and managability of the image at a device level, no large server or software installations are required in the back end to process the images and image data.

With storage on board and IP55 rated housings the camera can be taken out of the box, mounted in the sun or rain and connected to power and it will just work, there is no other camera on the market with this functionality.
